Olive // Brown
I live for the weekends and this past weekend was no different. With the temperatures outside finally cooling off in the mornings, I've found carrying a sweater or lightweight jacket is helpful. I've been scouring Pinterest over the past few months for inspiration for Fall style and lately really love the look of olive. I've also seen it on two of my favorite blogs (see here and here). This is a neutral I haven't spent much focus on in the past, but noticed it looks great with a peachy pink, brown or even camel. I'm sure you'll be seeing much more of this color in my wardrobe with the months to come.
Speaking of accessories... If you don't own a pair of lace up oxfords, I recommend picking some up. They are comfortable for walking and go with everything from jeans, to skirts/dresses and even shorts. Like a structured bag, they are versatile and look great with casual items. They can be dressed up or down. I picked these up last summer from one of my favorite places to find accessories, Sam Moon Trading - but found a few other options here and here.
I've noticed that all over the pages of style magazines are structured bags. I love the way the make an otherwise casual outfit look really pulled together. I've had this doctor bag for a while now and like the size of it - it's roomy without being overwhelming on a small frame. Believe it or not, but I managed to fit my makeup bag, full size wallet and a book inside this little sucker.
These photographs were taken at one of my favorite restaurants in the Bryan/College Station area called Blue Baker - they have wood-fired pizzas, homemade bread and are a local favorite. They recently opened another location in Austin, TX. If you are in the area of either city, I suggest stopping by!
