Autumn Yellow
Fall is fully upon us and I love how the weather has brought in a cool breeze. Houston is kind of finicky during seasonal transitions. The temperatures year round are so much warmer than other parts of the country, but Fall brings a crisper breeze at night. I've been pulling out some of my favorite sweaters from hibernation lately. I've also taken a few minutes to inventory my boot choices for the upcoming cold and wet conditions.
Mustard yellow is a favorite color of mine especially during this time of year. I really love to wear it with leopard (see this post from last Winter). For some reason, I find that the neutral print of leopard really plays nicely with the warm tones of mustard. Mustard is found during autumn all around in nature. I see it in the warmer shades of gourds and mums that come out this time of year.
I decided to layer the color with a black and white checked sweater draped over my shoulders and classic black pants. I like the relaxed of these trousers. They are comfortable and polished at the same time. I'm actually planning out the next few weekends and am looking forward to taking my daughter to a pumpkin patch and then camping later on in the season. I love the outdoors and getting time to spend in nature during the cooler months is a must here in Texas.
