Simple Saturday
I realize it's a Monday, but I wore this outfit on Saturday. My weekend wear is something like this - skinny jeans or a pair of shorts, a breezy blouse like this one (last seen here), a hat and flats. I've been really trying to tone down my color choices over the past few months and a few times I week I wear neutrals (like this post and this one). I spent the weekend getting caught up on rest, spending time with one of my best friends and finally getting in some family time.
As my sister and I grow older, I realize just how close we've become to our parents. We were always proximity close as we galloped across the world while my dad was in the military. However, it wasn't until this past year that we've really become close knit like we were when we were kids. My family went through a huge year for 2015 - major medical problems, moves, and other difficult life circumstances, but we aren't letting that define us. It's made us so much stronger as a unit.
Family is so important, and when all else fades - they are really the people who matter the most in life. My sister and I spent Saturday and Sunday just watching movies and eating out with my parents. We laughed hard and shared stories. It was one of the best weekends I've had in a long time.
When I'm wanting to be comfortable, but still look chic - an outfit like this is the way I usually go. Simple, a little boho and polished at the same time. I feel like I live in these LC Lauren Conrad leggings (see here andhere). I picked them up back in November and now I can't seem to find a better pair of pants. I wish I had bought them in navy. Note to self - buy more LC Lauren Conrad. Since it was really windy, the floppy hat kept my hair from being crazy and I added a simple clutch to top the look off.
