Pastel Coat

Coat: Elle // Dress: Zara // Sandals: LC Lauren Conrad // Tote: Coach

A pastel coat is a must-have this Spring. With Pantone's release of 2016 colors for fashion, it's no secret that Serenity is a at the top of the charts for color choices. I actually had my entire bedroom bathed in this color back in High School. There was something so calming about this soft shade of blue. It's there perfect medium between lavender and sky blue.

I think it's nice to have selection of jackets in several options. A light blue coat works well with a soft beige or a light pink. I decided to make an old favorite dress (but similar options here and here) look updated with a pair of summery sandals. I am a big believer in working with items you already have and love when you are transitioning into a new season.

The weekend had the most beautiful Spring-like weather and I took full advantage of being outside. From a long hike with a friend to just sitting on the patio enjoying brunch - it was a fun-filled relaxing time. I try to always have a few objectives in mind of things to accomplish in my "free time," but the weather was just too perfect to ignore. Although I still managed to incorporate some of my must do items, I tried to make room during the weekend to get out and see the blooming flowers. Azaleas, dogwood and many other brightly hued trees and plants are in bloom right now. I love how the city is sprinkled with beautiful pops of color every where. Stay tuned for some of the upcoming posts centered around all things floral.
