Olive // Nude
Sweater: LC Lauren Conrad // Jacket: Kenneth Cole Reaction // Shorts: Target // Sandals: Report
I love layering things like sweaters and lightweight jacket over a pair of shorts. It's perfect for our warmer afternoons and cooler evenings here in Texas. I really love the way this particular nude/blush sweater contrasts against olive green. I wore this jacket a few times so far this Spring (here and here), but found another way to match it up with a shade of pink. Although I'm wearing neutral tones today, there is nothing bland about the textures of this ensemble.
I love adding stylish and trendy details like the 70s fringe on my bucket bag and sandals instead of doing a head-to-toe look. Sometimes, it's smarter to add a few trendy pieces instead of investing in a whole new seasonal wardrobe. This bucket bag has seen a few good wears this season, yet I continue to find new ways to style it.
I wore this outfit a few weeks back on a trip to visit one of my long time friends in San Marcos - you can read more about my visit here and here. I will be adding more about things to do in San Marcos in the coming weeks, but it's a great time to make a short weekend trip over to the Hill Country to float the river or go on a nice long hike. Hope you all have a lovely weekend!
