Blushing
Dress: Urban Outfitters // Sunnies: Jessica Simpson Collection / Shoes: Unisa
Some posts are more fun to shoot than others and this is one of my favorites. I love to wear monochromatic color schemes. I find that as a tiny person (I'm only about 5'0 tall), it really elongates my frame. I bought this dress last Spring at Urban Outfitters and realized although I've posted it a few times on Instagram - I never shot it for a blog post. Well, fast forward to today and here it is in it's blush glory.
The key to not being boring for a monochramatic look is to add textured pieces for interest. This dress has a ton of texture with these small plastic squares. Sequins, cabling or tulle are other great ways to get texture into an outfit. I really love this dress, this one and this one if you are going for texture.
Also think about your accessories. I added a soft nude bow pump and rose gold sunnies. Accessories are such a great way to give yourself a fresh look without breaking the bank. They are also a nice way to change up your current basics. I really love these sunnies and these pumps too! I've worn this look for a fun girls dinner and over the holidays last year! If I added a more casual hat I could even wear it daytime for brunch!
