Although I typically keep my makeup simple I decided for my birthday to do something a little special! I layered a few colors from our MOODSTRUCK Eye shadow palette number three and a swipe of Dip & Draw liquid eye liner to create this romantic look. Makeup can be a really fun thing to put on but it can also feel intimidating to try something new. I think it helps to watch and learn from others through videos and blog posts and gain an understanding for techniques that worked for them.

Holiday Party Dress Guide

Getting dolled up for the holidays is probably one of my favorite activities during this season! There’s something about the swipe of a bold lip and adding a little sparkle to my accessories that put a serious pep in my step. Since the world decided to open back up finally, I plan on dressing to the nines from now until NYE! I’m wearing the most flattering retro dress with a navy and red floral print in these pictures. It comes in several other prints and I love how easy it is to steam out wrinkles. I just ordered a pack of the prettiest velvet headbands to make getting ready easy along with barrettes and bow-embellished jewelry. I also plan on sporting this tartan dress and pair of heels as much as possible over the next few weeks. I recently shared this topic on a Facebook live for International Women’s Day and thought about how impactful the advice I would give to my younger self may have on others! Although there are many things I wish I knew at an earlier age but looking back the biggest thing I would have changed was learning to trust my gut. To just block out all of the white noise around me and listen to my inner voice. I also wish I had implemented a skincare regimen much earlier and taken better care of things like my teeth. As the new year is approaching and resolutions are being made I realize that one of the best things I’ve ever done to take care of myself was to refresh my beauty regimen. A few years ago I struggled with hormonal acne. It was so incredibly tough being an adult. It affected my confidence so much. After making a few simple changes and managing my stress level I was able to improve the health of my skin and reduce problems with acne. Holiday Style in the South

Being located in Texas means our holiday season doesn’t stay cold for very long. Our temperatures are ranging from 50’s to 80’s right now and so pulling out tons of Winter layers isn’t the most practical. For daytime I wore it with a woven neutral belt then transitioned by letting my hair down and relaxed my waistline by removing the belt. I added a fresh hibiscus from the garden just like I would if I were on vacation.
