I shared a little last week in this post about my trip to South Padre Island. This is the perfect Spring Break location if you are looking for a tropical paradise in Texas. The water is incredible, the beaches are soft with rolling sand dunes and the island is filled with turtles, birds, dolphins, and other wildlife. It’s a welcomed oasis in South Texas. While I was on the island I drove over the bridge to Port Isabel where one of the most beautiful lighthouses on the gulf coast resides. The Port Isabel lighthouse sits in the middle of Port Isabel’s town square with a multitude of shops and restaurants. The lighthouse is open to tour so make sure you check their website for hours and cost for admission. Since I knew I’d be walking a lot that day I pulled out my favorite pair of flats!

Sarah Flint is an incredible woman-owned brand that produces luxury shoes at direct-to-you prices. Handmade in Italy from artisans and created from the finest of materials. Every pair of Sarah Flint shoes I own come with details I’ve never seen before like extra padding, arch support, and a steel rod for the heel. You no longer have to sacrifice comfort for style. With Sarah Flint shoes, you’ll be able to walk like the woman you are without discomfort. I’m wearing the Sacchetto Flats in tan which goes with almost everything I own. They were so comfortable when I tried them on in their Dallas pop-up store back in December, I immediately switched into them for dinner that night!

When I travel I love to bring layering pieces like this trench coat from Everlane and a sweet embroidered cardigan. That makes it easy to adjust to the wind gusts that happen when you are coastal and changing temperatures throughout the day. I also find I gravitate towards natural materials like this cotton dress from Hill House Home. It’s short-sleeved and has the sweetest little ruffle around the hemline. Every time I wear it I get so many compliments! I added a Tory Burch satchel that has a convertible strap to haul around all my things throughout the day. Have you been to South Padre Island? If so, what are your recommendations? I’d love to hear!
