Summer White

White is the best color to wear mid-summer. Or at least one of the best colors. The way the cotton reflects the warm sunshine is something else during hot months like July and August here in Houston. The rain finally subsided and now all we feel is ridiculous heat. I mean ridiculous.

To combat that weather, I pulled out this cute white sundress and threw on a bandana scarf and ballet flats. I've really gravitated to wearing pops of red over the last few weeks (see here and here). Adding a little scarf or a red lip is an easy way to achieve that.

Summer is half way through and I'm so excited about the final weeks. My calendar is completely loaded up with place to go, things to see and people to visit. I'm working on getting together a packing guide for a weekend getaway. Hopefully, I'll have it ready for you guys later on in the week. Packing is an art. I've made so many moves, travels and had to live from time to time out of a suitcase - there is a way to go about it to make your life a little easier.
