Treehouse Adventures
Dress: Doe and Rae (wholesale only, bought at boutique) // Bag: Ted Baker // Scarf: Vintage // Shoes: City Classified
Guys do you ever feel like you are so behind you don't know where to begin? Well, this girl has been in that place for about three weeks. Although I've posted here and there on Instagram and Twitter, for the first time in my life I've had major writer's block. Yes, I have content and many photographs already finished... but I was seriously lacking in the inspiration department. To the point I almost thought about just posting pictures and titling them..."I hope you enjoy :)"
Well fast forward to the past three days and it finally dawned on me exactly what was wrong. I had the pictures, just lost my voice. A little like Aerial in The Little Mermaid. Took some serious thinking about the next step in life for me and don't you worry... I figured it out. I will have some BIG news coming for you guys soon.
Navy dresses with bow details
Until then, I'm finally posting today a style post. I picked this dress up in Marble Falls, TX (which I'll be sharing more about later). I found it at a little boutique called Redid next to The Bluebonnet Café. It's labeled as an antique shop but carried a few racks of beautiful clothes. I love the navy blue crepe material and little ties on the shoulders. Let's not forget about the cutout on the backside.
Add a pretty silk scarf to your bag for a feminine touch
This afternoon after attending a child's roller skating birthday party, we headed to a fun treehouse park close to home. It was so whimsical and made me immediately think about all of the times I begged my dad for a treehouse. Growing up we constantly moved due to my father being active duty military and therefore could never own a home or have a treehouse. Getting to spend time wandering around this amazing park was so much fun! I can't wait to go back there since it's just a short drive from my house.
Velvet mules are perfect for an alternative to the ballet flat
I added a pair of soft velvet blue mules to the dress for a shoe choice. I've been into this style now for about a year. It's such a great alternative to a regular flat like a loafer or ballet flat. These actually remind me a little of Marie Antoinette. I also picked up this satin blush pair which I'll be showing you more about in the coming weeks. Both have such a great price point and really add a little glam to any outfit. I've worn them with jeans and dresses!
