5 on Fridays - Five Ways to Wear a Spring Garden Hat
Now that Spring is almost here it’s time to bust out all of those straw hats made for basking in the sun! I love hats. Why? Because they add so much drama to an outfit. I’ve mentioned in the past and I’ll stick to my guns on this one but they are perfect if you aren’t a big jewelry person. You’ll find me reaching constantly for a hat instead of earrings. Check out more looks with hats here on the blog! Today I’ve rounded up five looks with a black brimmed bow embellished garden hat. You can bring along a hat for casual brunch or an afternoon date at the park. Also, keeps you from worrying about your hair and blinded by the sun.
Wear with a sundress and classic black and white accessories
Experiment with wearing classic cap toe pumps with a sweet little cotton sundress. You can add a coordinating two toned bag to keep the dress looking classic. Take this look to the office by adding a little blazer or a cardigan, too.
Mary jane flats and a gingham dress is perfect for a day at a BBQ
This is actually something I’d wear to an outdoor event right now like a BBQ or outdoor concert. The relaxed fit of the dress makes it easy to move in and the print is really casual. It’s also nice for those cool Spring nights having longer sleeves. Add a pair of mary janes for easy walking on patios, lawns and grassy concert knolls.
Dressing a lace dress down with lace up shoes
This look is an ideal one for a baby shower, brunch or sunday church. The lace and tulle combination is so feminine but dressed down with the hat and flat shoes.
Add heels and a midi length halter for a hot date
Grab a pair of lace up strappy sandals and bow embellished purse to a bright and bold red dress. Red immediately screams hot and perfect for a date night!
Pretty prints and neutral flats
Wear a simple black and white printed dress with nude flats for a stroll around the park, a day at a garden or to go wine tasting. Don’t be afraid to wear a straw hat with a pretty print like this small paisley or grab a floral dress.
We are halfway through July and halfway through the Summer so I wanted to share a quick round up of my swimsuit collection. Where did you get that suit is one of the most frequently asked questions I get in my DM’s when I post wearing one! I love all different kinds of styles from tankinis to bikinis. A lot of the suits I’ve been wearing lately have extra support in the chest area and tummy control so you can look and feel your best when you are at the beach or the pool. Below is a list of my favorites and even more styles over on my Amazon Storefront! Enjoy and make sure to tag #threeheelclicks when you post a picture wearing one!
