Living in one of the hottest states in the US, sundresses have become my go-to for the Spring and Summer seasons. They are easy to style and require just adding a few accessories for a quick grab-and-go option. They pack nicely for trips and can be layered over swimwear or worn with strappy sandals for dinner. They also are super comfortable on hot days instead of having shorts ride up and stick to a hot car seat. There are so many cute styles to choose from like a pretty milkmaid dress like this one. Or you can opt for a dress that has a beautiful neckline and a side slit with just the right amount of leg. If you are looking for something more modest, try this pretty floral dress that hits at the perfect midi length. You can shop tons of other options below!
Read MoreYears ago I struggled with having an unhealthy viewpoint of my body. I grew up in an environment where I was oftentimes criticized about my body shape by one of my major role models and was told things like… “you have full thighs,” “if you keep eating cheese you’ll be fat…”, and “your derrière is big.”
Looking back at my pictures I was NOT ever at any point overweight as a child but I did have a different body shape than my younger sister. Of course, I would be different, I’m adopted. However, the critical words I heard regularly throughout my childhood burned into my mind and shaped an unhealthy thinking pattern.

Read MoreThe past few months have been by the far the most transformative months in my life. I wrote a little about the past three years in my last post, but the past few months have grown in a new light. I reached a point where the universe gave me the opportunity to pair up with someone and grow with them. In the course of this healing process, I broke free from generational ties, and limiting beliefs and began doing exactly what I loved every single day. I believe that what we attract, we get. I believe that you can have the life of your dreams. I believe that the universe supports you when you give love. I believe that the greatest of all the gifts we receive is the power to go within. I also believe that you can have, be and do anything given enough time and resources.
Read MoreTime is precious. It’s the one form of currency we cannot get back. Over the past few years, I’ve grown to be more and more intentional with how I spend my time. Taking out and saying no to activities that are energy draining. Spending time doing the things that bring me joy. Intentionally carving out special moments with people I love and care about. As I’ve done this day after day I realize most days I am living a dream I had years ago. Back in 2017, I went through a period of life that was incredibly trying. During that time I remember having a vision where I spent my time as much as possible in nature and traveling to see things I love. It was a peaceful vision. I’m happy to report that five years later much of my free time is spent doing just that. If you want your life to change, start taking small daily steps towards that life. Here are ways to build your dream life every day.

Read MoreWith Spring Break happening over the next month, I thought it was the perfect time to share a few Resort Wear picks! I love being able to get away even if it’s just for a few days this time of year. The weather is mild compared to the past few months and it’s so fun to get to visit the beach, a lake, or just get outdoors more! Jill by Jill Stuart makes some of the most beautifully cut dresses. This one is cut on the bias which gives the skirt a free-flowing shape. You find similar options here and here! I paired it today with my favorite nude pumps and a simple nude clutch. When I’m on holiday I like to bring the smallest clutch possible to dinner. No one wants to lug around a mommy purse in a dress like this! I added touches of gold jewelry and a medallion statement necklace for the final touches! See below for all my favorite resort wear picks! Also, where are you heading for Spring Break? Staycation, beach, mountains, or just a normal week? Also, don’t forget to sign up for my newsletter and win a free Younique MOODSTRUCK EPIC 4D Mascara!
Read MoreThe week in Abilene and Amarillo flew by! I decided to do a quick round-up post of all of the outfits I wore in both cities. Keep it mind it was either sunny and 70 or below freezing and windy. I did my best to pull together looks to inspire but were also somewhat practical. I spent so much time outdoors so you’ll see a few options for activity-related outfits. I also spent a good amount of time catching up with friends and having amazing meals. I wore a few nicer outfits and then a few cozy things as well. You can check out my prior posts on Caprock Canyons, Abilene, Palo Duro Canyon, my stay at the Big Texan Motel, and finally the cutest dress for date night or girl’s night out!
Read MoreUp until about six months ago I really didn’t think much about the word collagen. The only time I knew about it was when an MLM gal reached out to me on Facebook or I saw someone with overdone lips. About six months ago a friend of mine reach out and shared with me some of the benefits of collagen. We have similar lifestyles - active, healthy, adventurous, and fitness-oriented. I knew that it was worth a shot to try. Instead of injecting, I opted to grab it in supplement form. Fast forward to last month when Younique announced they are launching a collagen shot! I am so excited! Mine arrived today and you can grab during early release!!
Read MoreWhat is fall without a little plaid? I don’t know about you, but I legit wait for autumn to roll around this time of year so I can bust out all my cozy pieces. Plaid is such a classic print (actually one of the few prints you’ll find in my closet) and as soon as the cool weather hits I pull out all of my plaid pieces. This blazer has some history to it - it was given to my grandmother by her sister. Then, it was passed down to my mom who then passed it to me. I absolutely adore and cherish it! I paired it with a bigger plaid print and my new favorite jeans for a very classic look. Add on navy booties and you’re ready to go. Below is a round-up of more of my favorite plaid pieces and a few plaid looks I’ve shared in the past!
Read MoreThis season I’ve focused on building a new work wardrobe and picked up items that could easily transition from work to play. I love wearing cotton tops underneath a cute blazer during this time of year. Makes it easy to remove the jacket for lunch or dinner after a meeting. Pair with cap toe mules (which I grabbed in beige and brown below) for a polished look. A scarf immediately makes any outfit look pulled together. I love to tie around my bag of choice for the day. Lately, I’ve added more green into my wardrobe. I love the midi skirt below - really lightweight and looks great with over-the-knee boots and a sweater. This shirt dress was an amazing find. I’ve worn with and without a belt. It’s so comfy and great for work or play. Lastly, I added three new cardigans in brown, black, and this super-soft white one with a pretty collar. No matter what the occasion, all of the times listed below are ones I’ve purchased and love wearing!
