Little Red Riding Hood After much contemplating, I've decided to join in the costume festivities and go to a festival dressed as little red riding hood. I am a big believer of putting your own costume together and love to use real items I'd wear again and again. This year I decided to take my red midi skirt, mix it with a shirt I made a while back and add tall brown boots. I thought it would be really fun to put together an inspiration board of "little red riding hood" themed items.I am taking a picnic basket and made a red felt cape to go with the ensemble to top off the look, but you could easily mix some of the items I featured on this round up board to get your own look. One of the other things that is getting pretty popular is to add a few accessories to your outfit on the day of Halloween. Not everyone wants to go head-to-toe for their holiday inspired outfit. I found cute owl earrings and a plaid tote that add a woodsy feel. You could also invest in a new picnic basket and drape the wool blanket as a cape for costume inspired looks.I plan on topping off my look with a red lip and soft curls to give it a more youthful feel. Stayed tuned and make sure you follow me on Snapchat (heelclicksblog) and Instagram (threeheelclicks) to see the final product. I'll be headed to a Fall festival this weekend with my daughter and can't wait to get dolled up for the evening. I want to hear more ideas for Halloween costumes - feel free to send over some of your costumes! I love receiving emails from you guys! Also, stay tuned for an upcoming special newsletter. I am going to start releasing a newsletter a couple times a month - so make sure you sign up in the box on the right hand side!
