Cape Diem
With so many travels lately, I have to admit I’ve done a little slacking on posts. (Sorry, not sorry). But I thought I’d get a short one up today for you guys since the weekend is about to hit! Over the next few months, there will be some changes going on over here at Three Heel Clicks. I have a several things to share with you guys around better travel and the content for some of the style posts is going to shorten a little in an effort to be more efficient. Now onto today’s post! I’ve been looking for a cape for some time now and with a few extra Amazon gift cards on hand, I decided to make the plunge and pick up this little beauty. The gold buttons give it a nautical feel and the royal blue color is one to carry into Spring. Capes are a perfect alternative to a jacket, blazer or lightweight coat. You can layer them over striped or solid shirts. If it’s a little colder, it’s really easy to add turtleneck or sweater underneath. For today’s look, I wore a navy and white striped tee (last seen here) and white jeans. Pops of bright pink ballet flats and an over-sized clutch topped the look off for a casual Friday look or weekend wear.
