The Super Bowl is headed to Houston this weekend, so for all of you out of towners – I thought I would share a few fun spots on the blog today. I’ve done a series for a while now that includes different parts of the city called Houston Hotspots. You can head over to that page if you’d like to see more fun places around the city. From going to Herman Memorial Park’s Rose Garden (the park is rated as one of the top 50 parks in the US) to coffee shops, it’s all covered on the Houston Hotspot page under Travel.
Uptown Park is a really charming little area of Houston located in the Galleria. It’s two exits away from the Galleria Mall and has a variety of restaurants, retail and hotels. If you are looking for a quick bite to eat check out Café Express. They have a huge menu and many healthy options. For a sit down meal, try Anejo, Uptown Sushi, or Etoile Cuisine et Bar for an authentic meal from around the world.
For dessert, stop by Araya Chocolate to pick up handcrafted chocolates to take with you. They make all of their chocolates locally in the Houston area at their own factory. Crave Cupcakes has some of the tastiest options including the maple bacon which was one of my favorites! Their red velvet cake is also a winner. There’s many other retails stores and places to visit. I’d love to hear other great spots around town if you have any – leave a comment!
