5 Outfits to Perk Up Your Winter Wardrobe
It’s about this time of year that even I start feeling the Winter blues. With Spring lurking around the corner and a few roses are finally blooming Winter is the last thing on my brain. Unfortunately nature has other plans. Whenever I feel like I’m in a style rut I try to reflect on things that have worked in the past and how I can bring a similar outfit current. Today I’m sharing five outfit ideas to help perk up your Winter wardrobe.
Pair holiday pieces with blush or camel
If your anything like me, you probably wore colors over Christmas like red, burgundy, green and mint. All of those colors pair really perfectly with blush. Grab a necktie blouse and pair it with burgundy skinny jeans and accessories. You can also take a burgundy dress and add blush accessories. Dressing in two tones is a simple way to mix and match items you already own.

Layer a scarf and sweater over a dress
One of the easiest ways to get more out of what you own is to convert a dress into a skirt by adding a top over it. I layered a blush sweater over this cotton dress to give it a Winter feel. Also, now is a good time to play with accessories like watches or a simple floral scarf. I love this vintage one from my grandmother but I also am eyeing this one from the Gal Meets Glam collection. A scarf and sweater instantly transforms a fit and flare dress into a new piece.

Mix Florals for a Refreshed Look
Mixing and matching floral prints is an easy way to really elevate your style this year. Wear a winter worthy floral dress with close toed flats or espadrilles. You can add tights if it’s really cold and a long wool coat for warmth. Don’t be afraid the prints will clash, just look for items in the same color scheme and you can easily make them work. Also, these floral items will transition perfectly into Spring (only two months away!)

Wear a midi skirt
A midi skirt is my go to during the cooler months. It’s long enough to keep me warm and doesn’t drag through snow or wet sidewalks. Thicker fabrics like velvet add another depth of insulation. You can pair them with boots or booties or if it’s warm enough a pair of classic pumps. Add a structured bag and you are ready to go!

White Jeans with Bright Accessories
During gloomy months I love to pull out the brightest colors I own. For this look, you can wear a bold cape over a classic striped shirt and white skinny jeans. I love adding pops of color to my accessories and then add a swipe of a bright lipstick to tie it all together.
For the past year, I’ve struggled to feel spiritually challenged. For most of my life, I’ve constantly sought to expand my spiritual knowledge and push myself to educate myself about theology, religion, spiritual topics, and the bible. I’ve studied the Bible in depth for the past 30 years dissecting it, cross referencing, and getting involved in small group Bible studies to understand God better and what his word says. I’ve also studied a plethora of other spiritual practices and viewpoints including angel numbers, numerology, Buddhism the history behind the Islamic religion, and Catholicism practices. I wanted to truly understand the world’s viewpoints on faith, hope, righteousness, and what God had to say about them.
