Two Spring Accessories You Need Now
Spring is a fun time of the year with blooms opening and weather warming up. Accessories are a big part of making an outfit unique and I’m here to share some of the biggest trends this season you don’t want to miss out on. Any outfit can be instantly elevated with items like hats, scarves and shoes. Although I try to limit the number of accessories and choose a statement piece so I don’t end up looking like I’m wearing a costume. This is especially important for petite gals. Loading up hats, jewelry, and crazy embellished clothing items isn’t the best way to go. Instead, pick one or two to add to a spring dress or basic neutral outfit for a twist on old favorites.
Shop the Look:
A Silk Floral Scarf
A scarf is probably the most versatile item you can own. You can tie it in your hair, on your bag or around your neck. It’s so chic and simple! I really love the look of a pastel floral print. I oftentimes pick these up in vintage or thrift stores but there are a variety of options online like this one, this one and this one under $60. If you are looking for an investment piece check out this one or this one.
Rattan or Woven Bag
This time of year basket and woven bags make an appearance! It’s finally time to shed those heavy structured leather goodies used all winter long and swap for a fresh spring like material instead. Another great find at vintage stores, flea markets and thrift stores! If you don’t have time to scour your local markets check out this one and this one that easily ships to your front door! I love tying a scarf around the handles for an extra special touch!
This past year has amounted to an extreme amount of growth. Almost a year ago, I made the decision to go back to one-on-one counseling to sort out some stuff that was surfacing emotionally in my life. It was so hard, but I finally feel like I’m on the upswing and things are more manageable. It’s easy to make excuses in our lives for behaviors we did when we were not at our best. It’s also really easy to blame others for the things that went wrong. Ultimately, accepting full responsibility for my life has given me freedom and inner power I did not know a few years ago. I’m going to share with you today 10 Things I Learned this Year in hopes of inspiring you to rise above your current state of being into a higher version of yourself.
