I shared a little about past fourth of July experiences in my post the other day. Let me tell you how much I absolutely adore family holidays. The smiles, the loud talking over one another and all of the fun food warm my heart every time. Although I’ve had my fair share of dramatic holidays - trust me - it isn’t always puppies and rainbows over here (unfortunately) but for the most part I try to look forward to celebrating life occasions whether I have friends and family near or not. Although we are technically celebrating the day America won independence I think what most Americans actually celebrate on that day is our culture. We are a melting pot of a country. We have so many backgrounds it’s amazing for us all to get time together to celebrate life itself. What better way to do so than picking up a few fun decor items and set up a table. I believe aesthetics are important. They can enhance an environment and give people different feelings when they are present. I love decorating a table or hanging lights up for a dinner or BBQ.
