How to Get Your Glow Back

Are you feeling stuck? I understand. I’ve been there several times throughout my life. Sometimes I was facing a blockage that needed to be cleared and other times I had resistance. I’ve found one thing to be true in both situations. If you feel stuck, time to work on yourself. Look to your daily habits, what you are feeding yourself and how much joy you are experiencing. The thing is, we all get off track sometimes. We all have dips and valleys in life. It’s what makes the high points so pleasurable. If you are lacking glow right now, here are five ways to get it back. PS - I recently shared these on Facebook in a quick video!

Rest

Before changing or adding anything to your day ask yourself if you are getting rest. Are you getting quality sleep or taking time throughout the day to have a few minutes to yourself? A lot of highly driven people forget how important rest is. It will change your life! You will feel much better after getting regular sleep. If you are struggling with sleep and rest habits try implementing a bedtime routine. Go to bed and get up at the same time. Remove screens from the bedroom and start reading before bed. It may be hard at first, but over time it works and will change how your brain thinks!

Nourish

After you’ve had a night or two of sleep, then look at your diet and what you are listening to, watching, and allowing influence over you. Making sure your body is getting enough vitamins and minerals through fresh fruits and vegetables will do wonders for your overall being. You will feel lighter in your step. Try adding a couple of different things over the next few weeks throughout your day. Hydrate

This one is pretty simple but our bodies are 70% of water. If you struggle to get hydrated then try this trick. Put a bottle or large cup by your bed every night. Set a reminder on your phone if you need to help remember. Drink it as soon as you get up! Also, drink another large glass before bed. That’s about half your water intake for the day. So easy. You can hydrate! Your skin will look and feel brighter! You will flush toxins out of the body and feel more clarity.

Information INtake

Another thing that will help improve your glow is to start putting something motivational in your ears. What you listen to, watch, and ingest on social media has so much to do with your inner glow. How do you spend your time? If you are struggling try an audiobook, podcast, or even really good music helps! Feed your mind with things that align with what you are looking to do.

Vision

When was the last time you dreamed? One of my favorite things is creating vision boards! I love using Pinterest for this. You can create a “secret board” that only you can view! You can also share boards with others. You can follow along with some of my favorite boards here! Another option is to keep an album of stuff on your phone or create an old fashion board with a poster board. Add places to visit, what you want your dream house to look like, how you want to dress, and what you want in your life! Get creative! This will create a spark inside of you that you forgot was there and help you remember who you are!

On a final note, start small and be consistent. You don’t have to do all five things at once. Use the format above to create a framework for your life over the next few months.
