It may be February and I’m a minute late to the game but better late than never. As I realize the Earth’s energy is going to keep speeding up I’ve given myself so much more grace for emotions to roll in and out. For the first time in most of my life I am allowing every emotion to surface, be categorized and processed and then released. It hasn’t been an easy process but it is leading me to more vitality. I chose the word on a sunset drive with my boyfriend a few months back as our theme for this year. We’ve woven it into prayers for one another, spoken a ton about how to increase it, and allowed ourselves space to integrate more vitality into our lives.
If you are new around here I choose a theme word every year (see here last year’s word SOAR) to center my life around. My choices and priorities point to whichever word I choose. After a really rough few years, vitality is now the beginning of an era in which we thrive. I seek vitality in every area of life - emotional, mental, business, physical and spiritual. I’ve incorporated things like hydrogen water filled with antioxidants to better makeup and beauty products loaded with hylauronic acid. I’ve also incorporated more rest time. Every night I have a full 8.5 hours blocked off with no cell phone usage or lights on. It’s been a game changer in being able to heal emotionally and physically. My migraines and headaches have decreased significantly.
Another change I’ve made was removing nuts from my diet. I now eat foods processed in nut-free and gluten-free facilities. I developed a sensitivity to tree nuts. Do you have a food allergy? If so, send me a DM on Instagram! I still eat a little poultry and fish but most of my diet includes no honey, no syrup, no nuts, no grains, and no refined sugar. It’s changed my body composition, overall skin health, and energy over the past six months. Lastly, I am still riding my bike on occasion but most days I switch between yoga, my ab workout, and time on my walking treadmill.
The last category I’ve been really intentional about includes my relationships both for work and personally. Although I absolutely love so many wonderful souls, I’ve kept my communication circle tighter these past few months. I needed the downtime and rest as I focused on quality with a handful of people instead of quantity. It’s been one of the most intentional eras of my life and I cannot wait to share more this year.

The past six months of my life have been emotionally challenging. Postpartum combined with several joyful life changes left me feeling like I had new roles to step into and the pressure was high. Right before my husband and I had our baby we made the decision to start a new business. From the outside it looked like I had it together, but the next few months would unveil a completely different side of me that I wasn’t prepared to deal with.
