Read MoreTime is precious. It’s the one form of currency we cannot get back. Over the past few years, I’ve grown to be more and more intentional with how I spend my time. Taking out and saying no to activities that are energy draining. Spending time doing the things that bring me joy. Intentionally carving out special moments with people I love and care about. As I’ve done this day after day I realize most days I am living a dream I had years ago. Back in 2017, I went through a period of life that was incredibly trying. During that time I remember having a vision where I spent my time as much as possible in nature and traveling to see things I love. It was a peaceful vision. I’m happy to report that five years later much of my free time is spent doing just that. If you want your life to change, start taking small daily steps towards that life. Here are ways to build your dream life every day.
Read MoreOver New Year’s Eve, I took a quick weekend trip to Colorado Springs, CO. It was beautiful and right before a huge snowstorm. I’ll be sharing more about that experience in an upcoming post! Although the city itself was not snow-covered until the end of my trip, I did go up into the mountains and needed the right gear to withstand the slopes. Whether you are a ski fanatic looking for a few updates to your winter wardrobe, a snow bunny who just loves the scenery and a good hot tub, or maybe you are looking to just keep warm - here’s a guide to dressing warm and layering snow and ski style!
Read MoreIt’s no secret that I love Amazon. From their incredibly streamlined delivery and return policy to the quality of the Amazon the Drop collections that highlight influencers, time and time again I am impressed by what they have created in the retail space. To think that they single-handedly changed the book and printing industry! I’m overjoyed day after day with my Audible subscription, endless tv options on Amazon Prime, and getting packages regularly that have that little smile icon on them. With all of the amazing sales and deals happening I had to share my favorite Amazon finds. I’m dating things back over the past year with each item being something I’ve either used, purchased for someone else, or currently have on my own wish list.
Read MoreI’m all about rocking a dress that makes you look and feel good. This beauty (I actually wore in blue a while back) is one of the most flattering dresses I own. Period. It comes in a variety of colors and I fell in love with it so much I bought it in both tan and a pale blue. Sometimes all you need is a dress, pair of good heels (seen here for another work outfit), and a classic bag. When I put on a dress like this I literally feel like a million bucks and the best part is how it hides all of the food babies I ate for lunch! Fits true to size and would be perfect with boots, sneakers, or a pair of loafers for a more casual look. I’ll probably wear it to Thanksgiving it’s that comfortable! Oh, and did I mention it’s under $40 and on Amazon? Yep, you heard me! Affordable, too.
Read MoreThis season I’ve focused on building a new work wardrobe and picked up items that could easily transition from work to play. I love wearing cotton tops underneath a cute blazer during this time of year. Makes it easy to remove the jacket for lunch or dinner after a meeting. Pair with cap toe mules (which I grabbed in beige and brown below) for a polished look. A scarf immediately makes any outfit look pulled together. I love to tie around my bag of choice for the day. Lately, I’ve added more green into my wardrobe. I love the midi skirt below - really lightweight and looks great with over-the-knee boots and a sweater. This shirt dress was an amazing find. I’ve worn with and without a belt. It’s so comfy and great for work or play. Lastly, I added three new cardigans in brown, black, and this super-soft white one with a pretty collar. No matter what the occasion, all of the times listed below are ones I’ve purchased and love wearing!
Read MoreOne of my favorite things about Fall is getting to pile on layers! Recently I refreshed some of my rain gear to include a lightweight olive rain jacket that can be worn over a sweater or layered with a long sleeve shirt. The price point was incredible and the cut is so flattering! Having a cinched waist gives a feminine shape to the jacket without a lot of bulk. Although I love my Hunter rain boots (I have a tan pair of the original tall and then a patent red version of the huntress) I decided to opt for a shorter boot this season. Again, going with an olive green I picked these up from Amazon. After walking around for an hour in them as a test run I was surprised by how comfortable they are! You can shop both my jacket and boots as well as a bunch of other chic options below to brighten gloomy days!
Read MoreFall is approaching next week and I’m here for it! I mentioned recently that we won’t get a true Fall for a few more months, but I am transitioning my color palette and textiles over to Autumn hues like burnt umber, walnut, olive, mustard, and sage. Recently, I’ve been drawn to shades of green and rich browns. If you live in a warm climate like me, you can get into the Fall spirit by incorporating short sleeve or sleeveless lightweight sweaters. I’ve also started updating my work wardrobe for in-person meetings as well as shoe choices to include short rain boots, mary janes, and textured pumps. Below is a quick round-up of my current favorite purchases on Amazon!
Read MoreEvery January I find myself gravitating towards simplifying. From clearing out clutter and holiday decor to clean eating the turn of the year presents itself with a chance to start clean. I find this theme is reflected in my home, my beauty routine and my wardrobe.
Read MoreWhat would we do without Amazon? I’m beginning to wonder how any of us existed prior to their delivery services that cut shipping times by 90%. Amazon continues to innovate and impress me every single year. As I have tried hard to minimize contact and exposure by staying safe and being healthy, Amazon has become almost a necessity for me these days. From household items like these lightbulbs and neck massager to gifts that keep on giving like Audible - I’m a prime target (no pun intented … lol) and love being able to shop for gifts for my loved ones. Here is a complete guide to things I’ve recently purchased on Amazon, things I’m going to purchase, things I would purchase and pretty much everything I can think of!
