Meet My New Personal Trainer
Back in June, I realized I was getting bored with my workout routine. Every few months I try to switch things up or I find that I don’t push myself to workout daily. My go-to is to walk or run but I felt like in the heat of Texas summer that was even a stretch to do. Just about that time my friend Courtney reached out and offered for me to try her workout program. I told her immediately I was down! At this point, I could benefit from accountability and a new routine. I’ve been going through the workouts the past five weeks and not only have I seen muscle tone, I’ve also noticed my strength improved! It’s Super Simple
One thing I struggle with in life is if something has a bunch of steps or is too complicated I lose interest fast! Courtney takes the guesswork out of working out. You literally download her app, then put in your info. It creates a schedule with pre-planned workouts. You can sync the workouts with your Apple Watch, too! When you are ready to complete a workout simply turn the workout on and listen to the directions. It times each movement and cues up each exercise. So simple and easy to use!
The Workouts Have Instructions
I am not really an expert in weight lifting. Truth be told, most gym equipment completely intimidates me. Courtney’s workouts are different! They have a video that gives you step-by-step instructions for every single move! I never felt like I was lost and you can pick from at-home workouts and gym workouts to switch it up. You can even do the at-home workout at the gym! When I started the program I was still at my old apartment (shared in this post) that had a gym, now I’m doing the workouts at my house without skipping a beat. No fancy equipment!
One on One Coaching and Accountability
I’ve found over the years that most people thrive in hitting their goals when they are immersed in a community to share shoutouts, progress, and struggles. There’s a messenger feature inside the app for me to reach out to Courtney at any time! She also sends reminders and motivational words to get you pumped up for your workouts. The other feature of the app I really love is the community feature where you can introduce yourself to a whole group of people going through the same program as you! It’s a great place to shout out your workouts! Since so many of us are moms or stay-at-home parents it’s nice to feel connected and accountable to the group.
