Yesterday the chilliest of cold fronts blew in. A drastic change from earlier this week when I was frolicking in a dress without even a cardigan. That’s Texas for you. One minute hot and one minute cold. I decided it was time to bust out the new scarf I picked up over the holidays from Nordstrom. It’s the coziest thing ever! Seriously! I rounded up a ton of plaid, pastel, stripe, and printed scarves below. I find a little pop of color on a dreary day does wonder for my mood. A cozy scarf can also be layered indoors over a long sleeve t-shirt or blouse if the house is drafty or you just seem to struggle to warm up as I do. I am usually cold so that extra layer really helps! Here are two ways I wore this scarf yesterday.
Cozy at Home indoor look
Layers save me from freezing! I wore a cotton blouse underneath a duster cardigan. It almost felt like I was wearing a bathroom but one I can go out in public in. Around the house I love a good pair of slippers that are also stylish. I have these that are great for a cold day and those that are cute with something dressier. Both would make great Valentine’s Day gifts. I pulled out a pair of plaid cropped pants and then wore my cozy scarf as a blanket on the couch, shawl, and layering piece.

After I got off work (I work from home) I took my daughter out for a Chipotle bowl and a little shopping. It was an easy transition to leave the house with a plush coat. This has been my #1 find for the Winter. Worth every penny and it’s so soft. Seriously! I feel like a giant Beanie Baby every time I wear it. I also receive tons of compliments when I do! I added a structured bag and my other Winter find that’s been on repeat: suede brown western boots.
